Mehmet Yumru, Prof Dr (Psychiatry Specialist)

Mehmet Yumru, born on 04.09.1974 in Antalya, completed his primary and high school education in Antalya. He studied at Anatolia University Faculty of Medicine between 1992-1999 and worked as a general practitioner in Antalya Manavgat between 1999-2002. He specialized in psychiatry at Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry between 2002-2007 and graduated with his mastery thesis titled “Total oxidane and anti-oxidane levels in Bipolar Disorder”. Following one year of obligatory service duty, he began working in Antalya. He became Associate Professor by passing the Associate Professor exam in September 2013. He was assigned as a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Antalya Bilim University in August 2020. In addition to working as a psychiatry specialist in Terapi Medical Centre, he has been still serving in Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences Faculty, Department of Psychology, Postgraduate Institute of Clinical Psychology as a professor. In scientific terms, he has 48 published works, 31 of which were published in foreign and 17 domestic journals, 51 oral and written papers, and 5 national and international research awards in the field of psychiatry. He is also the editor of the Turkish Journal of Clinical Psychiatry. As a psychotherapist; he provides training and treatment practices in the fields of Supportive Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy, Psychotherapy for Sexual Dysfunctions, EMDR, and Hypnotherapy. Mehmet Yumru, who has taken various positions in the Turkish Psychiatric Association (TPD) and the Turkish Medical Association (TTB), still works actively in the Turkish Psychiatric Association. Between 2009 and 2011, he served as the Secretary of Scientific Meetings on the TPD Central Board of Directors. Between 2014 and 2016, he served as the General Secretary of the TPD Central Board of Directors. He is still a member of the Central Honorary Committee of the Turkish Psychiatric Association and the Central Ethics Committee. He is a member of Antalya Bilim University's Board of Directors and Ethics Committee. Mehmet Yumru is married and has two children.

Zehra Gökmen, MD (Psychiatry Specialist)

Born on 21.2.1978 in Istanbul, Dr Zehra Gökmen completed her primary and high school education in Istanbul. She studied at Bursa Uludag University Faculty of Medicine between 1995-2001. She worked as a General Practitioner in Antalya between 2001-2004. Between 2005-2010, she did her specialization in Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. She completed her compulsory service at Rize Kaçkar State Hospital. She is married and the mother of 2 children. She has joined the Therapy Medical Center family since November 2013. In 2017, she worked as a lecturer at Antalya AKEV University, Faculty of Human Sciences, Department of Psychology. As a psychotherapist, she received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Sexual Dysfunctions Therapy, and EMDR.

Oğuzhan Herdi, Assist Prof (Psychiatry Specialist)

He was born on 23.06.1989 in Malatya. He graduated from Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School in 2008. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, which he entered in 2008, as a medical doctor in 2014. In 2015, he started his specialization in psychiatry at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. During his residency, He served in Women's and Men's Psychosis, Alcohol and Substance Addiction, Psychosomatic Services and Adult Psychiatry, Adolescent Psychiatry, Geropsychiatry and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry outpatient clinics. He completed his rotations at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He completed his specialization in 2019 with his thesis titled “The Relationship between Psychosis-like Experiences in Major Depression and the Relation of These Experiences with Insight and Self-Reflection”. He completed his compulsory service at Antalya Serik State Hospital between 2020-2021. He joined the Therapy Medical Center family in 2022. In the scientific area, he has a total of 12 published works, 2 of which were published in foreign and 10 in domestic journals. He participates in educational activities as an Assistant Professor at Antalya Bilim University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Psychology. Mood Disorders (Depressive Disorder, Recurrent Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, etc.), Anxiety Disorders (Common Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, etc.), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Other Psychotic Disorders with Somatic Disorders, Geriatric Psychiatry, Alzheimer's and Other Dementia Disorders, Adolescent Psychiatry, Sexual Dysfunctions, Family-Spouse and Relationship Problems. As a psychotherapist, she practices Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Brief Emergency Psychotherapy, and Sexual Dysfunctions Therapy

Cumhur Avcil, Assist Prof (Clinical Psychologist)

He was born in Bursa in 1981. He graduated from Bursa High School for Boys in 1999 and from Ankara University, Department of Psychology in 2004. He completed his undergraduate graduation project with her thesis on "Effects of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) on Exam Anxiety Levels of Secondary School Seniors". During his undergraduate education, he did an internship at Ankara Hospital Mental Health Dispensary. In addition to the Presidency of Ankara University Psychology Society, he served as the Organizing Committee President and Congress President of the 8th National Psychology Students Congress. After his undergraduate education, he worked as a psychologist at Uğur Böceği Special Education Center, Institute of Marriage Therapy and Sagduyu Consultation Centre. After completing his master's degree in Üsküdar University, Department of Clinical Psychology with his thesis on "Stigmatization Levels and Effective Factors in Psychiatric Patients' Relatives", he continued his psychotherapy services in inpatient services and polyclinics at NP İstanbul Neuropsychiatry Hospital. He also gave “Positive Psychology” courses at Üsküdar University. He has joined the Therapy Medical Center family since January 2016.
